Great quality and love the simple design. I didn't use this on a door that was made for a dummy handle, it was a working handle before. I just replaced a few of them that were in high use areas where the oil rubbed bronze finish had worn off a little. But that is the only issue we have faced for more than 15 years. Our initial inspection failed, because our contractor had installed other handles with twist-button locks, so I replaced them with these handles with push-button locks - for half the price! These are excellent door knobs. Our builder installed Kwikset knobs throughout our home on interior doors and on the exterior doors with Smartkey. When one exterior entry knob failed after a couple of years, Kwikset immediately sent out a replacement. I followed the enclosed instructions and the knob functions perfectly. With the Smartkey function I was able to easily rekey the knob to match my old key. No need to call a locksmith. Didn't even have to bother my husband to replace it! Love these things!
