Unit is defective from manufacturer. Contractor installed and the hood will not raise up. I know electrical controls pretty well and after doing some troubleshooting the button to raise the hood gets no power from the board and the fuse is in good condition. Hope it gets fixed quickly.. Haven’t put food down it yet but it takes gel and water. Installation instructions were confusing because one piece was different than pictured and they are not labled properly. My first time booking something like this up and it took about one hour. Used youtube to help put it together. It’s very heavy so I recommend using a bucket to hold it up. Wayfair delivered the wrong item at first but then sent me the correct one without a hassle. I know I can always count on Wayfair to make it right! Made of polystyrene plastic these registers can be easily cleaned and will never rust. These items can be used in the ceiling by simply by putting screws through the "knockout" at each end. Be sure when sizing your registers you measure the hole they are going into. These come in 2 sizes 4 x 10 hole size (5.25 x 11.25 overall) or 4 x 12 hole size (5.25 x 13.25 overall).

This hood is quiet, has four exhaust settings, a timer and two adjustable led lights. We needed it to vent out the wall and it was an easy job for our contractor. We have never purchased this brand but are impressed with the exhaust options and styles they offered.
