When not in use it is flush with the stovetop which helps create a flat seamless flow on the countertop. When we have used it, it works very well. My first time booking something like this up and it took about one hour. Used youtube to help put it together. It’s very heavy so I recommend using a bucket to hold it up. Wayfair delivered the wrong item at first but then sent me the correct one without a hassle. I know I can always count on Wayfair to make it right!
