My first time booking something like this up and it took about one hour. Used youtube to help put it together. It’s very heavy so I recommend using a bucket to hold it up. You can order exact measurements of the opening rounding down to the nearest linen avenue will take the deduction needed to fit your window. Please note the widths include the brackets and mechanism which take up an inch on each side leaving a light gap of that size between the fabric and sill.

The wood finish is very nice. The size is what I needed for my purpose. However, the drawer did not open until I manually pushed down on the locking pin from above. When the drawer was closed, it locked itself. I have never seen such a primitively designed locking system. If it is important to have a working lock, don't buy this. I contacted "customer service" for help. She could not help, but arranged for a tech support person to call me. Two days later: crickets!
