Using this timer, we did a retrofit to enable our new front porch chandelier to be an automatic dusk to dawn light. It was easy to switch out the existing light switch inside our house with this timer. Although the lettering is quite small, it isn't difficult to program or operate. I got this dimmer switch as a promotional sample, which worked out really well as the previous switch I was using had recently failed. Installation was a snap - complicated only by the lack of space in my wall junction box (not a fault of this device). Took about 15 minutes, start to finish and the unit performs as advertised..
