This helps reduce the likelihood of the home's electrical system being an ignition source of a fire. Often unseen, arc-faults can occur anywhere in the home's electrical system including within walls, at loose electrical connections or within electrical cords accidently damaged by impinging furniture. AFCIs are now required by the National Electrical Code in many areas of the home.

This part that they advertise has been discontinued by Leviton for quite some time, but hasn't been removed from their website. Instead they send you a different p/n which I have asked to be returned and refunded. Since they use a third party, and after submitting photos of what I ordered and what they actually sent; no response has been issued. Their customer service is lacking as far as I'm concerned.. Dimmer is as expected, has lovely finish. Adds a nice touch. The dimmer feels substantial, it does have a 2 second lag when turning on. Overall it’s a nice accent and functional. Note picture was taken in low light, the gold a lovely warm brassy in tone.. Kt. Fri May 08 2026
