Love this stool, however somehow the fur underneath the protective plastic wrap must have gotten wet. The fur underneath was very stiff and all stuck together? Not soft at all. I took a soft vent brush to unstick the fur. Took quite awhile working carefully not to pull out any fur. But not sure how the fur got so stiff and stuck together? Piece of…! Box was damaged, however, that had nothing to do with the quality of the tree. The bark on the trunk was covered with flocking, part of which fell off. Also, the stand had overspray from the flocking, but was not completely covered. That may have been OK if it was completely covered, and if the trunk was completely covered, but it was not.
