These are really nice shelves. Because they're custom and not 'off the shelf' you can maximize the shelf size and not lose as much space as you do with set sized shelves. They are a bit pricey, but they are very well made and good quality. I wouldn't hesitate to get them again for other cabinets. We bought this for our 6 year old and she loves it. My husband and I (well, mostly him) put it together ourselves and while it took quite a while (because there's like 8000 pieces to it), the instructions were surprisingly clear. Some of the wood was warped and didn't fit together very we, but with a few tweaks we got it to work. Make sure there's a strong person available on delivery day because the driver needed my husband's help to get it off the truck. No way I would have been able to move those boxes. Great bed! My 24 year old boys love it. I was able to put it together myself, took me a couple hours a day for a few days but definitely doable.
