A piece (uneven wooden bar) at base of bookshelf was broken, no instructions were given (their function was unclear, if they were supposed to be legs they would have scratched my floors, it was unfinished plywood). These were expensive and should at least include a sheet with something written in them. I Ended up taking these pieces off with a hammer. The shelves inside of the bookcases were loose inside and moving around during shipment. This scratched some areas of the wood. Hidden areas ( back of shelves and underside of unit) are unfinished. There was fine sawdust, so the whole unit has to be wiped. Other than that it's a sturdy well made unit. I wouldn't say it's solid wood, however it's a good quality plywood. We needed a tall but relatively slim bookcase. This fit the bill. Let me tell you a couple hints. Basically this is 3 units all screwed together. It works great and it makes assembly really easy. The directions to assemble show that you can construct this with some of the shelves offset from one another. It actually looks pretty nice and if I had a bit wider space I might have tried it. Light, airy design in solid iron finished in antiqued silver leaf. The slender, shallow form has four lower tempered Eglomise glass shelves and two upper tempered clear glass shelves.

Love it. Exactly size looking for and love the silver color, which is understated and soft. Do have to be careful as the silver coating can scratch off if against something abrasive. And books will fall out side so if using as bookcase then either have to anchor sides with extra long books or find a nice silver ribbon to tie gently around for them to lean against. I angled books against the left and right back posts and stacked them three deep out on each side which is quite nice looking. The feet have leveling screws which is great. Feels solid.. Michele.
