I thought the top surface would be larger. It’s hard to get close to your lap The arm rest are nice. And although I measured it doesn’t fit my couch to well. I can make it work but a challenge. Make sure you measure. On a better note it’s made well and is very soft. To make it higher there are snaps. Very hard to snap. I got this 14,000 BTU window AC for my workshop here in Florida, and honestly it’s been a lifesaver in the heat. My shop gets brutally hot during the afternoons, especially with tools running and the sun beating on the building, but this unit cools the space down way faster than I expected. Within about 15-20 minutes you can actually feel a huge difference. Installation was pretty straightforward, and once mounted it feels solid and secure. I like that it has multiple modes including eco, sleep, dehumidifier, and fan settings because Florida humidity is no joke. The dehumidifier feature really helps take that sticky feeling out of the air. It’s also quieter than I thought a 14,000 BTU unit would be.
