I got this 14,000 BTU window AC for my workshop here in Florida, and honestly it’s been a lifesaver in the heat. My shop gets brutally hot during the afternoons, especially with tools running and the sun beating on the building, but this unit cools the space down way faster than I expected. Within about 15-20 minutes you can actually feel a huge difference. Installation was pretty straightforward, and once mounted it feels solid and secure. I like that it has multiple modes including eco, sleep, dehumidifier, and fan settings because Florida humidity is no joke. With the exception of one assembly step, this was a straightforward one strong person unpacking and assembly. At one point they want you to have the base stood up on its side so that the pillars can be slid through the holes in the bale. I made a support of the shipping boxes to support the then horizontal heavy pillars parallel to the floor while I attached them. ALSO: do the later steps that require you to work at the bottom while the stand is already on its side. The motor runs smoothly but I haven't attached tho 100" screen to it yet—I don't expect that will be a problem. I gave this four stars because it arrived in a smashed box and the mount and arm were not attached. It took a while to put them together.
