I love the chairs! Very comfortable. Perfect for short people, i.e., your feet touch the ground without a problem. I really took a chance on them, buying them sight-unseen. The fabric is lovely (softer and somewhat fuzzier than a linen). The chair structure seems very strong. Many of the similar chairs are rated at 250 lbs. seating capacity; these are rated at 330 lbs. -- they feel very sturdy. The chairs are actually Povison brand. These chairs are great quality and very sturdy. The color of the wood is light with a smooth finish. The cushion has light padding with a firm seat. Putting the frame of the chair was easy but since the seat didnt have any pre-drilled holes on the bottom I taped the seat onto the frame with painters tape, flipped the chair over and screwed each screw in supporting the other side with my kneeslegs. I read another reviewer stating to mark the spots with white chalk and predrill holes (this wouldve been a lot easier)but I didnt have chalk and a white pencil didnt mark on the material the seat bottom was covered in. The chairs are worth the work! The frame took about 15 mins and the seat, about 10 mins. They are very comfort and feels very sturdy. These are beautiful chairs and look a lot higher quality compared to the price point. I'll definitely agree with other reviewers that these are NOT easy to install if you use only the provided hex wrench - I'm a pretty handy person but the way the screws have to go into the chair you can only move the wrench about 1/4" at a time...it took me like 40 minutes to try to just get a couple of them in one chair until my boyfriend said "how about use the impact driver". Yes - to properly and efficiently assemble these you will need 1) a rubber mallet to tap the dowels into the seat boards 2) a drill 3) a 6" extender drill bit 4) a bit that will work as the hex wrench (e.g. star shape) and a Phillips bit for the other set of screws that go into the seat. Doing this with only the hex wrench will take you HOURS; using these tools will be 10 minutes per chair. The seat bottom also does not have pre-drilled holes - which at first was a bit like "ok, are these gonna go in the right spot..." but if you make sure the seat is all the way pushed back against the frame (chair will be upside down on a table at this stage) and then drop the screws into the pre drilled holes and again use the extender with the Phillips bit on the drill it'll work great.. Overall, I really like these chairs. Really love the fabric. It is soft but seems really sturdy- like it won’t tear easily. And it cleans up easily so far in the few weeks I’ve had these.
