This cake stand is gorgeous, but the way Mackenzie-Childs, packaged this item very poorly (probably thinking that the middle man will do a better job, but Wayfair didn’t bother to check the content nor how well packaged it was so it got sent the item out without any extra packaging. It's actually a bit smaller than I was hoping, specifically in the center circle where each of the cords for the lights hang out of. But overall a nice looking fixture. We hung it in the tiered, circular pattern instead of the "octopus" looking option, as we wanted something more long/linear. Put it in an open, high-ceilinged strairwell/entry area and the cacsading, long look is just what I wanted.
