The shape feels classic and elevated, and once styled, they look more expensive than the price point. My only reason for removing a star is that the metal finish read more gold in person than the softer brass tone I was expecting from the photos online. It’s not unattractive, just different than anticipated. Overall, I’m happy with them and they added a lot of warmth and balance to my space. I love this lamp. I bought two. The base has a good weight and balance to it so that I'm not afraid of it tipping over, even with cats loving to walk by and bump into it.
