Easy to assemble and overall satisfied with the island. Took away a star because one of the side panels was broken when removing it from the box I had to glue it and wait for the glue to dry before assembling. Take this one for example: Crafted from solid and engineered wood, it strikes a clean-lined silhouette and boasts a neutral coloring for a look that complements nearly any color palette. Two drawers and a cabinet help keep kitchenware essentials corralled, while a butcher block tabletop provides a place to prepare meals for the week.

This is perfect in terms of looks from a distance, though not the highest quality. I’ve had to touch up the color on a few places and it’s particle board, so not great. If you can afford a more expensive one, I would recommend spending more. But the higher quality ones didn’t deliver to my address, so I used the DIY method and assembled this with not too much difficulty. Best parts are the cupboards and drawers that open from both sides, and the real wood surface. Nice quality piece of furniture. The granite top looks darker online, but like another customer stated, could be just the differences in the natural granite. Mine was more of a light cream colored. I purchased the kitchen island in the European Cherry, and it smells like it was just stained prior to it being shipped. It is beautiful and worth every penny! I am using it as a coffee station. What you don't see in these pictures, because I have this up against a wall, is that there is another set of cabinet doors on the other side so that you can get to the cabinet on either side of this kitchen island. The full-service delivery was exceptional! Very pleasant two young men delivered this piece of furniture without any issues. We like this cart but the granite top is not secured to the bottom half of the island. Also, the cabinet doors don't close properly so we've tried to adjust the hinges and one side is fine but we can't seem to get the other side to close without the doors rubbing each other.
