I bought this for the back door. Many reviewers were disappointed that it didn't have a key lock in case the battery failed. Well, that is intentional to stop people from entering with a bump key. I figured that it was very unlikely for two locks to have battery failures at the same time so I was safe installing this one. But to my surprise, they have improved it by giving you jump battery pins that will allow you to operate the lock even when the battery is dead by using a 9 V battery in your hand and holding it up to the pins. A very good range/stove that we have used for the last year. It has a few idiosyncrasies to which we have become accustomed. The clock is ridiculously hard to set. We have to look it up every time the time/date changes. There is no automated option. No smart connection for this unit at all, which is a plus and a minus. The power is insanely good. It can boil water so fast. The oven is very even. The unit feels solid. Placing a pot on an unused hob will result in a clicking noise that happens every few seconds. At first this drove me nuts, but now it's fine. The induction is fairly loud, especially when placed at a high level. The stainless steel scratches fairly easily. At first this was annoying, but now it's a kind of patina. This thing gets some serious use daily and I'm okay with it. Delivery was uneventful. I did need to make some mods to my electrical outlet but that was no big deal. Cost me $200 to get an electrician out. Make sure you have the outlets and plugs that you want/need in advance.. Adam.
