I ordered this to have another hob for when preparing larger meals and entertaining. Sadly, the description was not very clear that it was induction and required induction compatible cookware. This has since been added. I did not have compatible cookware, which was an excuse to buy a new set. Never having used induction before, I did not know what to expect. It is going to take some trial and error to use the temperature setting, but I have to say it steeped a pot of tea in five minutes! From the photo you can see in five minutes the temperature was over 160 degrees. The fan is not too loud, but something to note if you have never used an induction plate before. The instruction manual is basic, so I will have to play around with this to learn all of its features. With that being said, I think I will really like this hob! We got this gas range to replace our older one as the dimensions were what we needed. The look is squared and gives a modern feel to a kitchen. The material is of a high quality. The area that contains splashes and drips is fairly shallow, so it will need to be maintained clean, or spill over will be certain. The only thing I will need to get used to is the rack is very close to the gas knobs, and I’m afraid they will get hot during use and could pose a burn hazard.
