Both of the chairs came packaged together in one medium sized box. They were almost completely assembled. We just had to add the legs. It took about 15 minutes to assemble both chairs. The wood is a beautiful medium brown. They are sturdy and very comfortable to sit in. They had a decent amount of material to make them soft and comfortable to sit in. The fabric is a white tweed.
