Shed went together easily, with decent directions. I understand why the metal is covered with plastic to protect during shipping, but it peels and looks bad in time. We've had ours up for 2 winters now in Vermont, and no damage, doors and latches still work. I recommend setting this up on 2 pallets with plywood attached on top if it isn't going on a hard level surface. Tolerances are tight, and you will be happier with the result if it's on a perfectly level surface. Too bad about the peeling plastic, as it's a good looking shed for the money. To make the long story short, this shed was extremely easy to build! The instructions were clear and each part was properly labeled! But, for the long story, I prepared my area by making a wooden base. I laid out all the pieces from the box and the screws. Only a couple of the metal panels needed to be bent back (assuming from shipping and handling). Since each piece was labeled correctly, it made putting it together simple. I also read reviews that said it took others three hours, so I was concerned how long it may take me! In the end, it only took an hour and a half to assemble. It was light and easy to move to the are I needed it and fastened it to the base. Nothing was missing - in fact, there were a lot of fasteners left over! This is an attractive and functional storage solution. The large double door allows for easy access to the store and retrieves items. Ideal for areas where space is limited and provides an excellent storage solution for bikes or garden equipment.

We call this our “pretty shed”. It took 3 people to assemble and I recommend you stain and seal it pretty quickly as the pine wood absorbs water and spots if not sealed. I also recommend you use a power nailer since the siding shingles are fairly thin and when we tried to use a hammer they started to split. We didn’t seal the roof shingles and are noticing the shingles are shrinking. Had it up for 18 months now - no leaks so far. We love it and hope it stands the test of time -). Michele. San Jose, CA. I put the shed together by myself. It would make it easier with two people but I was able to manage. I think it is decently sturdy and will serve its purpose well. I would like better ground or wall anchors besides just metal "stakes" but I will manage. I think it is worth the buy if you want a simple storage space ( I plan on putting a lawn mower in it). This worked out well for our needs. Definitely not a one-person assembly job as some pieces either didn't align exactly right or needed someone else to hold pieces together so they could be attached. The holes in the door don't align very well so it's hard to attach a small lock to keep the door from swinging outward. Everything was labeled and the instructions (mostly pictures with directional arrows) were easy to follow enough. If you can assemble Lego sets, the assembly instructions were about the same method. Yes, you need a floor. Do measure the space before buying and cutting (tip - HD will give you one free cut on the giant board. Having it in two pieces makes it much easier to install inside). We also needed a ladder to assemble the roof. It is a bit flimsy though it worked well for us as we installed this in the small space between the house and fence, nestled up against another part of a fence that does not open.
