Installing this in a dry-walled garage, for instance, will take some doing including cutting away drywall and add 2x4 supports. The slider appears to be well designed, but my example was improperly assembled. An autopsy revealed that the slider consists of the slider part that attaches to the rail, an adjustable angle part that holds the shower head, a hollow plastic axle that joins the two parts and a screw that screws into the axle to keep them together. In our example the plastic axle alone was unable to sustain the weight of the shower head and the stress of taking the shower head on and off the slider. The screw that held them together was too short and did not extend into the axle at the critical joint. If the screw had extended from the rotating part into the sliding part, the shower head would have been supported by the steel strength of the screw and it could not have sheared off. Perhaps this is what happened in the case of "Disgruntled Buyer" above as well. Moen should check that short screws are not contaminating their supply of longer screws for this part .. Tushka.
