The stainless steel hook feels much more durable and sturdy, especially when kneading heavier bread and pizza doughs. It handles large batches with ease and gives me confidence that it will hold up well over time. One of my favorite features is that it's dishwasher safe and doesn't have a coating that can chip or peel. The plastic hook worked fine for lighter doughs, but it felt less robust and showed wear more quickly. The stainless steel version is easier to clean, looks great, and feels like a premium upgrade. The only drawbacks are that it's a bit heavier and more expensive than the standard hook, but the improved durability and performance make it well worth the investment. This unit enabled me not only to be able to finally air fry food but also get rid of my countertop microwave and toaster.
