I purchased the 35.75” 600 CFM Ducted Wall Mount Range Hood in Stainless Steel (model KBRH1319) on 11/13/2022. Recently, one of the fan knobs broke into two pieces. I was surprised to discover that the knob was made of plastic rather than stainless steel, which raises concerns about the durability and overall quality of the product. When I reached out to customer service for a replacement, I was informed that the unit was out of its 2-year warranty. I was offered a set of five replacement knobs for $5, but with a $17 shipping charge, which I consider excessive. I chose this to maximize cooking space replacing a broken 1960’s vent hood. It looks nice, arrived as expected, no damaged. It works as expected. Incredibly easy to install as long as you have long driver bits or long screw drivers and a way to lift it up for install (proper tools basically). Excellent performance and the finish is nice. Best of all it has mechanical buttons (from the research I’ve done they seem to be better than touch controls) and wide, even lighting that illuminates the entire cooking surface and about 4 inches beyond that. Light spread will depend on installation height. In my case, I couldn’t install at the recommended minimum height of 26” and had to go to 25”, but that didn’t impede on performance in any way.
