this container has a rather dull gray finish. after unpacking it i put a new, just opened package of wipes in to the dispenser. i pulled the first wipe into the dispenser's "pie" shaped holder, tightly closed the lid and put it away for a week. i then opened the lid and found that the wipe was bone dry as well as the next several wipes behind it. this product may dispense wipes but you had better use them pretty quickly.. It's very nice, it was easy to install, and it holds a charge for a long time. I like that it only sanitizes the toothbrush that was just used.
