The ceramic disc cartridge is the heart of the faucet, controlling its temperature and water flow. Internally, two opposing discs made out of ceramic carbide rotate to control the flow of water. Because ceramic carbide is impervious to friction, it can last for many years before needing replacement. Solid brass body and stem with 3/8" x 16PT teeth on spline count for the handle. The cartridge thread size is 1/2-14 NPSM. Featuring an M24 x 1.0 threaded collar, and a rubber O ring at the bottom.

Fit the vintage tub I picked up from a scrap yard and repainted which had a 4 inch spread. I would have preferred one that was fitted specifically for a 4 in spread, because the mechanism that allows it to be adjustable also makes it a bit bulky, but the price for all the components together couldn't be beat. I think my plumber may have added the plastic nuts for the bolts, not sure those are the ones it came with, which detract from the look, but its in the back. Overall I am very happy with this.. Ok for what it is this dryer is awesome. I wanted a ventless solution since I had to move this to a room with no area for venting so I understand the limitations which are not ideal but for what it is, it works great. So what are those caveats? Ventless drying can't get rid of all the moisture because it's being recycled so the more moisture there is the hard it is to fully eliminate that moisture. For most things, clothing even a full load, it usually has no problems. But if you are drying a full blanket then you'll find that it takes maybe 2 full runs to get it completely dry. But lets be honest how often are we cleaning blankets? not that often so for most cases it's perfect. I kind of which I could have it auto drain into my washer drain pipe so i don't have to empty out the water tray so regularly but otherwise it's not a huge inconvenience.
