Honestly I haven’t had the chance to install this yet but I have several friends that have used these before and it didn’t seem to be difficult. This light fixture is beautiful. Its is heavy and very solid. My husband was able to hang it in about an hour by himself (although it would have been easier with 2 people due to the weight). The shades soften the light, but it could be used without the shades for a slightly different look.
