This commercial grade downlight is ideal for new construction when specified with a 4" x 2 1/8" square or octagonal J box. It is also conveniently UL Listed for wet conditions only indoor wet locations such as above a shower. For exterior they would need to be installed in damp location such as a covered porch, soffit, etc.. A place where the fixtures would not receive direct saturation.

Honestly I haven’t had the chance to install this yet but I have several friends that have used these before and it didn’t seem to be difficult. Looks just like the listing. Black hardware with bubble glass - need to wipe with vinegar if glass is cloudy. Easy to install (I recommend threading the wiring through the chain AND the loop/screw at the top before you install the bracket - you’ll need 2 people, but trying to thread the wires through the top screw after it’s installed would be horrible! You’ll definitely want wire cutters/strippers so you can shorten the very generous length, unless your ceiling is 12-15 feet tall! The 5 light sconces are a satin etched glass and look just like large wine goblets. I have an elaborate bar in that room, so it really fits in with the decor and I've gotten many compliments on it. This brushed nickel finish chandelier is sleek, contemporary and clean looking making it a simple timeless piece. Weighing in at about 10 lbs, it is very lightweight, but extremely well from steel. It includes a 72" chain, accommodating just about any ceiling height. The dimensions are 24.25" wide and 22.75" in height. The sockets are medium with a max wattage of 75W.
