This commercial grade downlight is ideal for new construction when specified with a 4" x 2 1/8" square or octagonal J box. It is also conveniently UL Listed for wet conditions only indoor wet locations such as above a shower. For exterior they would need to be installed in damp location such as a covered porch, soffit, etc.. A place where the fixtures would not receive direct saturation.

Honestly I haven’t had the chance to install this yet but I have several friends that have used these before and it didn’t seem to be difficult. Looks just like the listing. Black hardware with bubble glass - need to wipe with vinegar if glass is cloudy. Easy to install (I recommend threading the wiring through the chain AND the loop/screw at the top before you install the bracket - you’ll need 2 people, but trying to thread the wires through the top screw after it’s installed would be horrible! You’ll definitely want wire cutters/strippers so you can shorten the very generous length, unless your ceiling is 12-15 feet tall!
