Uhg! I’m once again wishing for 3.5 stars or a 710. Yes, the Rev-A-Shelf does work and their competition is weak, so I keep buying it. I think this is number four for me in the last few years. It works but they cost so much and leave so much to be desired. The main lacking component in this piece is the absolute waste of space above the can which could easily have been a pull-out drawer. If you’re looking at other pieces, my experience says they’re most likely lacking something too. I hope a competitive company that’s actually good enters the market. For now, let me tell you, it’s probably less expensive and better quality to have something custom-made. I’m doing that for another piece in my kitchen and saving money. I just couldn’t find good cans for this one or would’ve done it too. Over time you’ll probably forget how much you spent on Rev-A-Shelf, which is probably more than twice as much as it’s already marked up retail price should be, but, if you pick it and install it correctly, it should work.. Looks pretty good and was very easy to set up. Doesn’t come with batteries, that was a bit annoying. Reasons for not giving a 5 it’s not as smart as other trash cans I’ve used where if you open it and it senses that you’re still emptying something, it will stay open. This one just closes after the number of seconds, on top of your hands. You can keep it open but you have to push the Open thing and then it doesn’t close automatically, you have to push Close to close it. I purchased the 35 quart double bin Rev-a-Shelf garbage can set. Wonderful product. Very easy to install inside a kitchen cabinet. First time I’ve been able to hide my trash can! The lids are the perfect final touch. I wanted to limit trash odors both inside and outside of cabinet. They just slide on the top of the trash cans easily and help keep your trash bag in place. It's sleek appeal and flush design makes it a perfect addition for any kitchen. I love how it has two compartments, one for regular trash and another one for recyclables. You can actually pull out the individual liners which is perfect because it's much easier to clean and also to take out your trash. I actually take out the entire inner liner with me when I take out the trash because I've had issues with things leaking out through the trash bags. cool trash can. I've never tried a 2 compartment trash can so now I can separate my recycle vs trash. it's actually pretty big, I didn't look at the dimensions when I got this . It is much bigger than my current one. I have a couple of pics showing the scale of it in front of my dishwasher for comparison. it has clean lines , modern and recessed handles on both sides.
