I ordered the anvil May 27 2025. Wayfair said it shipped May 30. Never arrived. Called Customer Srvice (he couldnt have been nicer). Customer Service escalated the order. Turns out it was lost in transit. A replacement was organized and shipped June26 (now a month has passed). On July 10 the anvil arrives. The container had obviously been opened and poorly reclosed (screws were stripped out). The anvil is fine (I expected to need to dress the edges, etc.), but the anvil face is deeply scratched and shows rust. For some reason there was an IV Starter kit in the container)! Still trying to wrap my head around that one. I havent decided whether to send it back yet. I will take a closer look at the anvil face and see if it is salvageable. Do not recommend. Thomas C.. Once I took it out of the box I knew it was a good fit with what I had planned to make that day. I made a stove top pot roast and it turned out wonderful! I seared the roast first and then added the vegetables to sauté. Added the sauce and liquid and forgot about it for 2.5 hrs and it came out so tender. I was surprised as I never made pot roast on stove top. It was so easy to work with and clean up was a breeze with soap and water and with very little scrubbing.
