The ceramic disc cartridge is the heart of the faucet, controlling its temperature and water flow. Internally, two opposing discs made out of ceramic carbide rotate to control the flow of water. Because ceramic carbide is impervious to friction, it can last for many years before needing replacement. Solid brass body and stem with 3/8" x 16PT teeth on spline count for the handle. The cartridge thread size is 1/2-14 NPSM. Featuring an M24 x 1.0 threaded collar, and a rubber O ring at the bottom.

Love this tub faucet for our new free-standing tub. I wanted something traditional with pretty clean lines and I personally didn’t want the tub filler on the floor. This one fit the bill perfectly. It works great, although if I turn it on full-blast the water does hit the side of the tub and splashes on the floor just a little bit. I just don’t turn it on full-blast! Also I was a little disappointed that when it was installed the handles didn’t go straight across, they pointed down somewhat when completely closed. It would’ve been helpful to have notes on the description, indicating another piece was needed.
