Due to the vacuum seal that is used for shipping, there is some wrinkling that I hope to be able to get out. It is a nice comforter and the quality seems very good. The shams are a bit flimsy looking, but okay for decorative pieces. The set came with two small accent pillows that I didn't expect. I won't be using them as the quality isn't very good. This is a lovely comforter set. Has a classic look, a nice color ( although it's a little darker than in the picture ) and has a nice simple design. It looks modern and is very versatile. The description says that it is for all seasons, but for me it's more for fall/winter time. Even though the comforter is lightweight, it feels too warm for the summer time. Great solid duvet cover with shams. Purchased for teen boy. Did not smell any worse than a set of super expensive organic bamboo sheets we received the same day. They are in fact blue, just a very dark blue/grey but mostly blue (headboard of bed is dark grey for comparison). The gold color is not very metallic or shimmery and the dark tones are a brownish color. I personally like the different tones and find it to be really fun and different.
