The stands themselves are beautiful and much nicer than expected. The only reason I didn't give five stars is that the screw threading on the poles was not perfect. The one pole threading had what looked like a bead of metal or possibly solder which kept the screw from attaching. Fortunately using a file I was able to remove it. A second set of threads was just a little off and I had to force the screw in. Once I got it started however it did attach. So... beautiful stands if you have a little mechanical know-how.. I spent over 1,200 for two of these lamps, and both arrived missing the base...one is an anomaly but two... Is insanity . Completely unusable out of the box. This is insane for a product at this price point. For that amount of money, basic quality control and completeness should be a given. Instead, I’m left with expensive parts that cannot even stand.
