This rug is a starting point for a room we are repurposing into a small den for reading & TV so won't get a lot of traffic. Having said that, it appears to be well-bound and did not have an odor (something I have read on other rug posts). There are lots of colors so lots of decorating possibilities! There is a photo with paint chips and for reference, the dark middle color in the rug matches Glidden Mountain Pine, so more green (I thought it was Navy). We are tending toward the bluey green but one could easily paint walls in off whites, beiges even peachy pink. There is far more variation in color within the design that makes it really pretty. I bought two of these rugs for my entry and kitchen. I bought one that was rectangular and one round. The rugs are fairly thin, but I like that, so no one trips. They definitely need a rug pad for my hardwood floors because they do slide frequently when we step on them. My rug pads arrive tomorrow and I know they will help with this. The colors are more on the subtle side. Overall color is a steel blue or smoky blue with the other colors being navy, ivory, beige, rust, very subtle mustard yellow, but could be confused with beige until you look at it closely. All colors blend well! The rust is a bit more orange than I prefer, but it is still subtle and not overpowering. I really love the rugs and I hope this helps you decide!. F. Thompsons Station, TN.
