I know that I could have spent a LOT more and perhaps gotten better quality, but these seem to have a great feel to them during use and come with a lifetime warranty. The real test will be edge retention and how often I will need to sharpen them with regular use. I am very happy with my purchase so far, and maybe if you were a professional chef you may require the very best, but for the average home cook, these are extremely nice for the price paid and I would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family..
