Easy to install and looks good in the space. I’m most impressed with the fan noise, at max speed it sounds like a table fan or similar to white noise and not like a steam engine like most range hoods. This range hood is high quality. I bought a cheaper version a few years ago for my old house. I liked it, but now that I have this I can see where the cheaper one was lacking. This range hood is thicker steel that wont dent as easily. The oil tray is steel, the baffle filters feel commercial grade, the large duct size really moves a lot of air. I am glad I spent the money. Its loud but quieter than the old one. Relatively quiet for the amount of air it moves. The instructions are good, mounting is easy and secure. This has worked out great we had a electrician install this. I enjoy the three-speed fan for low medium and high it appropriately pulls up the steam and smells of cooking. I really enjoy the feature that you can pull the grates down to be able to clean all of the grease off. The only tricky part is getting in between the slats as there's no way to completely disassemble those that I've been able to figure out at least so you do need to soak them for a while and use a sponge in between each slat so it is a little time-consuming but typically have only done it like four times a year. The metal can be quite sure if I did cut myself so be cautious. The lights that are built into this I don't think would be bright enough to illuminate an area we had additional lights put in to our nook. The fan itself is not terribly loud you can definitely hear it but it's more quiet than our last one and I don't think it's reasonable to think a fan is going to make no noise. This was delivered super fast. It was packaged well. It was what we were looking for, and now that I’ve got it installed and used it a few times, I can say it works so well, and I love it. I knocked a star off because there are some frustrating (welding) stains on the stainless steel, and I got cut on a piece of sharp metal that was sticking out of it. Other than that, it’s a dream, and for the price, I don’t think we could have gotten even close with another option. The power on the Fotile range hood is excellent. For most cooking, I stay on the first 2 out of 3 fan settings. For high smoke activities such as seasoning a wok or searing steak, the 3rd settings is more than enough to suck up all the fumes. The fan speeds are all pretty quiet. I am super impressed with this. Installation was easy except the ducting part that took some work but once installed it works so well. On the lowest setting it’s barely noticeable yet still powerful. This is the quietest range hood I have ever used with an unique design. The installation is straight forward for most with video tutorial online that's readily available. I went with a professional installation. This range hood is rated at 1100cfm and the unique design has worked very well. My home no longer smells even when I deep fry. I did two modifications for my installation. I went with a Zephyr 6"-8" duct increaser. The reason I did this is because the range hood is rated over 1000cfm. This might not be necessary but it's a choice I made for myself because of the rated CFM. My installation required a 4" spacer piece. I used 6" 10-32 fine thread screws to secure my upper cabinet to the range hood to make up the 4" spacer difference. This is not necessary according to Fotile but I went the extra mile for $13 more in screws, bolts, and washers. So far I am very satisfied with how quiet and powerful it is.
