I love the color--a teal-ish blue--a little darker--that looks terrific with my china. The good: these are solid wood organizers, and they feel sturdy and of good quality. They are all modular, so if you order more than one, as we did, you can mix and match drawers to customize the ratio of drawers to shelves. Also, you can build it in multiple configurations to match your needs and closet size and shape. They do look great in the closet. Now the not so good: First of all, if you’re hoping for a nice ash blonde color like the photo, you’ll be disappointed. These units are ORANGE. They’re fine, it’s not a dealbreaker, but wow, what a difference from the photo. Another con is that if you buy multiple units of different types, get ready for a major puzzle solving challenge. The drawers are shipped in separate boxes and there are no labels on the boxes or information on the John Louis website that tells you which box goes with which unit. Wayfair customer service couldn’t help at all. Our confusion was compounded by the fact that when we finally figured it all out, we discovered that two drawers were missing from the shipment. Finally, you have to be pretty handy to assemble them. My husband is a fine woodworker and even for him there was a long learning curve on the first one. He also had trouble attaching the drawer glides—the small screws didn’t sink in straight and continually drifted off the grooved guides on the sides of the drawers. It might be that the wood grain has soft and harder bands so the screws naturally drift into the softer areas. The first drawer took forever to fit to the frame and when we finally got it in, the soft close mechanism didn’t work. But the second drawer seems to work as promised.. Anonymous. IL. Four stars for the unit, but 2 stars for Angi. This unit seems to be very well made. It seems very sturdy and the pieces are quite heavy. I bought this in chestnut and I like the color. I would advise anyone considering the professional assembly to truly understand the complexity of the installation if it needs to be cut to size. Angi grossly underestimated the amount of time involved. The tradesman has to cut the wooden shelves and the metal bars to fit. All the drawers need to be assembled, and the glides attached. The entire unit needs to be attached to studs (preferably) and/or anchored into the wall. And of course it needs to be leveled. I was allotted two hours to complete the job, which is ridiculous. When I contacted Wayfair, they did reschedule Angi to finish the job, but what a fiasco. You will save a huge amount by doing this, but it was very inconvenient to say the least.. Karen. MD. I bought 4 systems for my master closet. Two with doors and drawers and two with open shelves and drawers. I love the quality of the product. Instruction booklets are thorough but the videos are outstanding really helpful. I designed my own configuration. There are 6’ double hanging racks on a wall that isn’t pictured. I have 8 and 10” drawers on each tower. The drawers are nice and roomy. You need to read the product description carefully to know exactly what you are getting.
