This is a sturdy and versatile bench that came together simply in 20 minutes. The wood is smooth but dry, so I used “Old English” wood oil to condition the bench and it soaked it right up and looks amazing. It fits perfectly in my small bedroom at the foot of my queen bed. Love this bench! The original description indicated that the bench had a wood frame. It is actually metal, but with the bronze colored side rails, I think it looks better than wood. It gives it a more modern look. It was easy to put together and is very well made and sturdy. I got the one with the upholstery color of Polyester Beige/Natural.
