This is the quietest range hood I have ever used with an unique design. The installation is straight forward for most with video tutorial online that's readily available. I went with a professional installation. This range hood is rated at 1100cfm and the unique design has worked very well. My home no longer smells even when I deep fry. I did two modifications for my installation. I went with a Zephyr 6"-8" duct increaser. The reason I did this is because the range hood is rated over 1000cfm. This might not be necessary but it's a choice I made for myself because of the rated CFM. My installation required a 4" spacer piece. I used 6" 10-32 fine thread screws to secure my upper cabinet to the range hood to make up the 4" spacer difference. This is not necessary according to Fotile but I went the extra mile for $13 more in screws, bolts, and washers. So far I am very satisfied with how quiet and powerful it is. The function of the Escargot 49 oz. Wine Decanter is based on the fact of a double aeration effect. The first aeration takes place when the wine is poured out of the bottle into the escargot decanter exposing the content of the bottle to oxygen. Lift the decanter from horizontal to a vertical position to fill the decanter. The second contact with oxygen is triggered when the wine is poured out of the Escargot decanter into the glass. When pouring hold the decanter by the oval indent for conveyance. The decanter construction forces fresh air through the already decanted wine a second time to fill the air space in the decanter. This second aeration process creates a bubbling gurgle when the air is forced through the neck of the escargot decanter.
