Super big! This is such a nice looking fan! Everything went together easily. The brackets for the blades are super heavy duty. The instructions were very easy to follow, however, the span of the blades is wide enough that we couldn't lift the fan past the ladder with all 8 blades installed. We took 3 blades off so we could climb the ladder with the fan, the reinstalled the remaining 3 blades with the fan in place. The remote worked right out of the box. Even on the lowest speed, the fan moves plenty of air. This thing is whisper quiet and looks awesome once completed. It does have instructions for adding a light kit, if that's something you need. Exactly the asthetic we were looking for to replace a very dated fan/light combo. Install was pretty easy, except the wiring forced us to use only the remote and we can no longer use our wall switch, which is a bummer. I like that the remote allows for dimming the light and the fan has 6 settings. Very quiet motor even on highest setting. Also, we did not have to adjust the blades at all. The Italo Ventania is the largest rotational fan in the Matthews Fan Company collection. Its vortex sculpted arms grasp also remarkable, side-mounted fan heads in gentle, equatorial rotation. The fan heads can be infinitely positioned in 180-degree arcs for optimum air movement; the greater the angle of the motor to the horizontal support rods (up or down), the faster the axial rotation. A slow, controlled axial rotation is achieved by both fan head position and fan blade speed.

Very disappointed with Wayfair/Birch Lane. Took 5 months to receive the fan, once received the fan did not operate properly also, Wayfair/Birch Lane advertises the fan with a light and bulb included on the fan. Don't waste your time or your money. I feel Wayfair/Birch Lane did not handle this situation properly. I know now they are a third party company aka middle man company. Very poor situation!. Vina.
