This refrigerator replaced a 22 year old Artica GE Side by Side. I had kept the Artica going for all these years, but got tired of the defrost heater burning out what I consider to be too often? I purchased OEM one's, but the last one lasted about 14 months and it was a GE one. Don't know why they don't last any better? Anyway said goodbye to the old girl that served us pretty well for those 22 years. The ice maker had failed and had developed an internal leak I could not find and fix, so we lived without that for several of it's last years. Now, this new one is HUGE at 28.3 The old one was about 25 cu. ft. Actually, I hated the dark tunnel of the Artica Side by Side. Could not find things back in there! This new one is great from that standpoint with the lighted back panel, you can see everything in there. Like the convertible part and the drawers in the freezer section. I've read that the ice makers in GE refrigerators are troublesome compared to other brands? I hope it is trouble free, but all of that is unknown just after purchase and setup. The old Artica was built like a tank. The shelving was sturdy. This new one has shelving and door trays that are a bit less robust. I hope they stand up as well as the old Profile Artica? Faucet is gorgeous! Its handle provides a nice contrast and all together the faucet complements my dynamic countertop. This faucet was a replacement for an older one that had lost water pressure. Issue now resolved and even better with "Power Boost " feature. Love the motion control, very responsive. Also works with Alexa. I wasn't sure that it would work given the negative reviews regarding voice activation with Alexa app but it has been working well so far. Installation was easy. I wish the faucet's swivel wasn't restricted to 100 degrees rotation. The kitchen sink is a standard double bowl and the faucet's reach positions perfectly over the smaller bowl's drain but not so over the large bowl, however I was able to rotate the base a bit to correct but it makes the faucet appear slight off center. Good thing I don't have OCD. The secure docking and retraction of the pull down hose works ok but maybe the hose could've been a little longer or the weight heavier for a more brisk retraction and docking. Bought this hood since I needed to replace my old one and I must say this thing is absolutely amazing!! Easy installation and it came in perfect condition with no damages at all, it has a motion detector for your hands so you don’t have to press any buttons which was very very cool, also it sucks up the smoke so fast and well. Definitely recommended if you need a hood for your kitchen. It has such a clean finish to it and it should go well with any kitchen. Looks like it will be fun to use! Its attractive, bristles, pad surfaces etc are sturdy or soft enough to do the job propertly. I only gave it a 4 instead of a 5 because it should come with a case or bag with compartments. Easy to install and looks good in the space. I’m most impressed with the fan noise, at max speed it sounds like a table fan or similar to white noise and not like a steam engine like most range hoods.
