It’s softer than I thought it’d be! I prefer an extremely soft mattress but I needed a shorter (10”) mattress for the bed frame I wanted and ultra plush is harder to find so I settled on this one and I’m quite pleased. I have a unique setup where I have 2 queen beds together because I sleep with my 2 great danes and 1 great pyrenees. I needed to be sure this bed was supportive, with some bounce , because straight memory foam doens't hold up to the amount of weight that could be on the bed. THIS IS AMAZING. This mattress topper is VERY firm. I had to go back to the description in the product page and it calls it “extra firm”. This is true. I think it will be too firm for me and definitely for my wife. However, I got it for the RV and I think if we use as a mattress base, it will work very nicely for us as it will have a bit more cushion than the plywood under the mattress, like we have it now.
