No. But it is extremely helpful. These are things I was ready for, but some other buyers might not be ready for. This is an RF controlling device. While it makes some devices a little easier to use it does not make those devices "smart". If you have someone who likes to use the remotes a lot, the app will show incorrect settings for those devices that have changed with the remote. This does not bug me, but for someone who is not ready for that, make sure you understand what this device is first. I highly recommend Bond. This is an affordable way to use what you already have. Less devices in the landfill for replacements, and a pretty great way to control my devices from my phone. I love my fan. It is pretty and sleek. I got the black one. The fan is quiet and I love the fact when fan is not in use the blades retract. It does have a few seconds delay when you hit the remote to turn off fan, so no need to press button more than once. It has several speeds but speed #1 is strong enough for now. The kitchen is bright with the bulbs it carries.We mounted the remote holder on the wall to make it easy to find and avoid getting lost or damaged. We used Wayfair to install it.
