Replaced a gas water heater after 30+ years. Initially it saved a lot compared to electric. But LP gas has gotten so high that I felt I was not saving anymore. The whole thing does blow up just fine with the valve open, but it won’t hold up as well without the valve closed with the ties. This is a great buy! I’m in Florida and as long as you drape it over a few chairs and let it dry out no mold has grown on it. You also don’t have to lift it up for it to drain.
