It really cools, but with most air conditioners it cycles between cooling and just blowing air. Temperature goes down to 60, and the air is really cold when it's cycling. It can also connect to wifi which is a good added feature. It's surprisingly compact and doesn't take up much space. This is a great little dehumidifier. We got it for our basement because our old one was getting old and starting to have problems. This one is smaller and a lot quieter.
