The pros: It's a beautiful design, the finish is gorgeous, it was easy to install, and the ceiling plate is as shown (*another reviewer got something different, so I was worried and would have returned.) The cons: The threads on the globes *almost* line up to the fixture, so you have to be very slow and ginger when screwing them on. Two of the 16 got stuck so badly it wound up unscrewing part of the fixture. It was fixable and not a dealbreaker, but could be improved. ALSO why oh why oh why do they put those stickers that leave annoying residue on EVERY ARM? We get it. There's a 7 watt max. I think most people are smart enough to know that applies to each and every arm. Nitpicky and I will be able to get it off with tea tree oil but with sixteen arms it's still annoying. The disclaimers: In one photo it looks like two of the bulbs are dimmer than the others, but in reality they are not. (I used 4W bulbs and this thing could blind you!) Also the paint around the plate still needs to be touched up (not the fixture's fault!), and this is going over a dining table (which is why it is so low). This light fixture works perfectly in our bathroom. We wanted to replace the original builder-grade light that came with the house, but I had trouble finding something that met our needs. Our previous fixture was ceiling-mounted, while most bathroom lights are designed to be installed on the wall above or beside a mirror. I actually found this light while browsing kitchen fixtures, and my husband suggested it might work well in the bathroom—and he was right. It looks great installed. I especially love that the wiring is fully enclosed in metal tubes. Our old fixture had exposed wiring threaded through chains, which was difficult to keep clean. This fixture also provides three lights, and because the bottom of each sconce is open and the bulbs point downward, it gives off excellent, bright light—perfect for waking up in the morning. Installation notes • Some parts are secured with set screws the correct size Allen wrench is included, which is a nice touch. • The instructions need a small correction two pairs of wires exit the assembled fixture for connection to household wiring, but the instructions only show and describe one pair. • Overall, assembly and installation were straightforward and manageable.
