Installing this shelf wasn't too difficult, it took me about an hour to finish it completely. It looks very modern and if I didn't know what this shelf was, I wouldn't know it was an approved grab bar for safety standards. It definitely doesn't look like the average grab bar you would see in an elderly persons home. What impressed me the most was when I was showering the other day, I was turning to bend to wash my feet and I started to slip, I grabbed onto the corner shelf and that kept me from falling in my shower. I didn't realize how much I needed this product until I had it there and it prevented me from falling. I would definitely recommend everyone to consider getting this product, whether young or old. A second replacement came (from TX) and arrived in even worse condition (both tops had screws missing and screw holes stripped so won't stay on with screws provided, cracks on all sides, dents, etc.). I asked for a return label so whomever can inspect and see how badly damaged they are coming from TX. Third replacement sent from New Jersey or maybe Virginia- I cannot remember. Arrived in perfect condition like the first did. Customer service could not be better, but I'd call to order this piece with customer service and beg that it comes NOT from Texas. Love the two working ones and recommend 100%... again, if not arriving from Texas! I'm sharing damaged photos of last one sent, but not of two we kept, b/c they fit description perfectly.. Christina. They are so well made and very strong that when installed by a professional they can sustain a large amount of weight ( we will have them installed by our contractor for my mom’s remodeled shower and bathroom.) There are 3 safety grab bars 18 inch, 24 inch and the largest one is 36 inches and you can not find these in a package deal for this price. The safety they provide gives a great peace of mind knowing that my mom will have these safety bars to provide extra help for the caregiver .
