This refrigerator replaced a 22 year old Artica GE Side by Side. I had kept the Artica going for all these years, but got tired of the defrost heater burning out what I consider to be too often? I purchased OEM one's, but the last one lasted about 14 months and it was a GE one. Don't know why they don't last any better? Anyway said goodbye to the old girl that served us pretty well for those 22 years. The ice maker had failed and had developed an internal leak I could not find and fix, so we lived without that for several of it's last years. Now, this new one is HUGE at 28.3 The old one was about 25 cu. ft. Actually, I hated the dark tunnel of the Artica Side by Side. Could not find things back in there! This new one is great from that standpoint with the lighted back panel, you can see everything in there. Like the convertible part and the drawers in the freezer section. I've read that the ice makers in GE refrigerators are troublesome compared to other brands? I hope it is trouble free, but all of that is unknown just after purchase and setup. The old Artica was built like a tank. The shelving was sturdy. This new one has shelving and door trays that are a bit less robust. I hope they stand up as well as the old Profile Artica? The Kalamera 66-bottle wine cooler is designed with dual zones so you can store your red and white wines separately, keeping each at optimal temperature! We've designed it with French doors that open in the center, made of stainless steel with two-layered transparent glass inserts. This cooler takes up a compact area as a freestanding unit or is installed under a counter in your kitchen or bar area, and in that space holds up to 66 standard-size bottles of your favorite wine! The bottles are properly stored on their sides on 14 slotted beech wood shelves, so air circulates evenly to chill each bottle. The control panel display is user-friendly, allowing you to easily turn on and off the interior lighting and control panel display light, read the temperature in Fahrenheit degrees, and set each zone to the proper temperature.
