This is a ginormous museum-quality replica of San Felipe, one of the most beautiful Spanish galleons of the XVII century. This is an “Exclusive Edition” where the model has a unique serial number etched into the hull, which allows us to identify production date, a material used and all other production information of a model. Master craftsmen using historical photographs, drawings or original plans meticulously handcraft these highly detailed wood models from scratch. They are built to scale with high-grade wood such as western red cedar, rosewood and mahogany. They are 100% hand built individually using plank-on-frame construction method and are similar to the building of actual ships. Each model requires hundreds of hours to finish and must go through a demanding quality control process before leaving the workshop. This massive San Felipe XXL model features plank on frame, three decks and 3 rows of ferocious cannons on each side of the ship. A unique bowsprit design that consists of brass statues and crafted brass ornaments on the panels. The front bowsprit and 3 large masts are connected securely using advanced rigging and lines painstakingly knotted and fastened by hand. Each yard has an attached hand-stitched rolled-up sails made of fine linen. Metal anchors and a wooden rudder are visible on the front and rear of the ship. On the deck, there are metal stationed cannons, authentic hand-built lifeboats with ribs and planks, wooden cabin and many other handcrafted ornaments. There is also an exquisite detailed admiral’s quarter on the stern with a beautiful handcrafted metal lantern, amazing metal crafted statues and many other spectacular brass ornaments. This model comes standard with a solid wood base and brass nameplate. It’ll make an incredible display for your home or office or company. The San Felipe was one of the most beautiful Spanish ships in the 1600s. Launched in 1690, it had 96 cannons and was the lead ship of the feared Spanish Armada. It was powerful enough to go up against the most formidable ships in the French and British navies. In 1705, the San Felipe and 11 other Spanish ships waged a furious and heroic battle against 35 British ships. After 24 hours of fighting, the San Felipe was captured but was so badly damaged that it could not be salvaged as a prize. It sank with several tons of gold.

It was destroyed by fire in 1697 in Chatham.

"Capture of Fort Ticonderoga by Ethan Allen and the Green Mountain Boys" by Frederick Coffay Yohn depicts the capture of Fort Ticonderoga that occurred on May 10, 1775, early in the American Revolutionary War. Ethan Allen, along with his group known as the Green Mountain Boys, along with Benedict Arnold, surprised and captured the British-held fort without firing a shot. This victory was significant because it provided the Continental Army with much-needed cannons and munitions. Yohn's painting captures the moment of the surprise attack where Allen and his men confront the British soldiers. The capture was not only a morale booster for the American forces but also had strategic importance. The artillery taken from Ticonderoga was later used in the Siege of Boston.

The Fighting Temeraire is JMW Turner’s tribute to this famous English warship, hero of the Battle of Trafalgar (1805) that rescued HMS Victory, Admiral Nelson's front line warship. The artist represents the moment when, on September 5 and 6, 1838, the Temeraire was towed, from the Thames estuary (from Sheerness) to its place of demolition (at Rotherhithe), by a steam tug. The dark and heavy form of the latter is brought to life as an innovative driving force, as evidenced by the tall smoking chimney and the two paddle wheels. It contrasts with the noble whitish silhouette of the Temeraire, which seems to glide, like a phantom vessel on the waves, towards its ultimate end. Turner accentuates the dramatic destiny of the warship by placing the scene at the end of the day, in the setting sun. The moon is also present, at the top left; its light is reflected in the calm waters. The sky inflamed with yellow, orange, red and mauve floods the surface of the painting, creating a vaporous and dramatic atmosphere, attenuated by the blue of the horizon

The Seguin Tugboat was launched in Maine in 1884. Named after Seguin Island at the mouth of the Kennebec River, the Seguin at one time was our nation''s oldest operating steam powered tugboat. Willem van de Velde trained under his father, a marine painter of the same name. The two artists dominated the seascape tradition and became famous for their accurate representation of ships. There are a number of different boats here, including a kaag in the foreground, a small fishing boat designed to navigate inland waterways. This and the warships in the distance remind viewers of the Netherlands' power at sea, both in trade and in battle. The Dutch flag flies prominently atop many of the masts.
