My old Black Decker lasted 18 years and finally wouldn’t steam any longer. I looked in the local stores and they now are showing the newer models of irons with the very pointed front ends and not much area to iron on even in the middle of these irons. I checked Wayfair which is the place to go when you can’t locate the items anywhere else and sure enough they had this Black Decker Classic Iron. It is perfect, even better than my older model, good looking, easy to operate and to fill for steaming I could not locate it in any of the stores in my area but found it on Wayfair. I was looking for a good iron that wouldn't break the bank. This iron is it. I absolutely love the retractable chord. My irons in the past have eventually ended up leaving black flecks on the clothes when using the steam function but this iron hasn't done that yet.
