It stacked 6 pieces and put them in a paper box. It was shipped well without damage. Of course, I checked it was made in England. There were three bubbles on this plate more than on the Portmeirion, but its not a characteristic of a ceramic bowl. Nice piece, but it's really more of an institutional item and assumes that you are replacing an existing urinal or have framing in place to accommodate an install. Installing this in a dry-walled garage, for instance, will take some doing including cutting away drywall and add 2x4 supports.
